Earlier this week, American rapper, Kanye West who was in Uganda for a short stay made a live stream during his time in the country wherein he spoke about society, and how social media is used to control the minds of people and drive false narratives. The rapper also went on to assert that the spirit of late Afrobeat legend and musical activist, Fela Kuti flows through him.

This, however, didn’t sit well with Seun Kuti, a son of Fela who immediately debunked Kanye’s claim via Instagram, saying that the spirit of his father lives nowhere near the rapper.
