  • It was a fiery conversation but it was enlightening all the same.

Top media industry personality and Nollywood Actor,  Patrick Doyle, in a conversation during last year’s #NECLive spoke about how Don Jazzy and D’Banj put Nigerian music on the world map.

In a panel session during the 5th edition of the Nigerian Entertainment conference, the Veteran Actor stressed that Nigerians do not need too much to thrive, as there are a bunch of gifted and creative Nigerians in the Country.

He also gave kudos to popular music industry hotshots, Don Jazzy and Dbanj for  putting in hard to put Nigerian music on the global map.

‘Before now, we did not have a vibrant music industry, most of what we listened  to was Congolese music. But despite no having formal education, guys like Dbanj and Don Jazzy took Nigerian music from the back waters and put us on the world map. What we need is that resilient spirit and that spirit is in abundance.
